On Saturday, December 2nd, the Garden City Wrestling competed at the Manhasset Invitational, finishing fifth out of eleven teams from across Long Island. The team had statement performances from several individuals that landed eight wrestlers on the podium, two of whom emerged as champions in their respective weight classes.
The tournament was a showcase of sheer skill, resilience, and unwavering determination for Garden City’s wrestling squad. The two champions exhibited exemplary technique and relentless effort throughout their matches, earning well-deserved titles that underscored their individual excellence.
1st Place – Anthony Pica (sophomore) 124 Pounds
1st Place – Nick Griffin (Junior) 131 Pounds
