Celebrating Achievements: Garden City High School’s National Letter of Intent Day

In a heartwarming ceremony that reverberated with pride and excitement, Garden City High School celebrated its National Letter of Intent Day, a day that marked a significant achievement for 18 of its talented student-athletes from the Class of 2024. The event, held at the school gymnasium, showcased the determination and hard work of these young individuals who have not only excelled academically but have also demonstrated exceptional athletic prowess.

The College Commitment Ceremony was a testament to the students’ dedication, as they signed their letters of intent, securing scholarships to continue their education and athletic careers at the collegiate level. Among the 18 students, some have chosen the path of Division One or Two schools, while others have committed to Division Three institutions. Their achievements, however, were not theirs alone; the entire school community, from kindergarten to twelfth grade, played an indispensable role in supporting and shaping their journeys.

“It’s incredible to see the passion and talent our students possess. Today’s event is a celebration not only of their achievements but also of the collective effort of our school community,” said Mr. Kevin Steingruebner, Principal of Garden City High School. “The unwavering support from teachers, parents, and fellow students has undoubtedly contributed to the success of these young athletes.”
