Garden City to Host the 2025 Woodstick Lacrosse Classic on Saturday, May 3

The storied rivalry between Garden City and Manhasset continues this Saturday, May 3, as Garden City High School hosts the 2025 Woodstick Lacrosse Classic, one of the longest-running and most celebrated high school lacrosse traditions in the nation.

This year’s Classic will feature four highly anticipated matchups between the JV and Varsity programs of both schools:

Game Schedule:

10:00 AM – Girls Junior Varsity
12:00 PM – Boys Junior Varsity
2:00 PM – Girls Varsity
4:00 PM – Boys Varsity

Both Varsity matchups carry major playoff implications and showcase the elite level of competition that defines this rivalry.

On the boys side, Garden City (9-2 overall) and Manhasset (7-3 overall) are both undefeated in conference play, setting the stage for a battle of league leaders in front of what is sure to be a packed crowd.

On the girls side, Garden City enters at 9-2 overall (7-0 in conference) while Manhasset stands at 10-2 overall (6-2 in conference). With two of the top programs in the state going head-to-head, fans can expect an intense and skillful matchup.

Garden City High School is proud to serve as the host for this year’s event. Known for its electric atmosphere, the Woodstick Classic brings together alumni, families, and fans from both communities for a day filled with tradition, pride, and high-level lacrosse.
