Garden City Boys and Girls Shine at Indoor Track Conference Championships

January 29, 2025 – St. Anthony’s High School

The Garden City Boys Indoor Track team delivered an outstanding performance at the Conference Championships on Wednesday, claiming the conference title with a series of dominant individual and relay victories. The team secured first-place finishes in multiple events, including:

• 300m

• 600m

• 3200m

• 4×400 relay

• 4×800 relay

• Pole Vault

Their depth and talent across the board ensured a well-earned championship victory.

The Garden City Girls Indoor Track team also put together a remarkable effort, finishing second in the conference while showcasing incredible individual and relay performances. Keira Lekanides led the way, claiming gold in both the 300m and 600m. The girls also secured first-place finishes in the Pole Vault, 1500m, 4×400 relay, and 4×800 relay, demonstrating their strength across a variety of events.

With the conference meet behind them, both teams now shift their focus to the Nassau County Championships, where they will look to continue their momentum and bring home more titles.
